Starbucks beverage recalled due to possible contamination with metal fragments

Metal contamination warnings continue with a popular Starbucks canned beverage retailer, which is not linked to Starbucks restaurants.

Pepsico Inc. formally announced a recall of the prepackaged Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot Energy coffee beverage last week due to the risk of contamination from foreign material, specifically metal fragments.

While the voluntary recall was initiated last month, the formal announcement was not made through the US Food and Drug Administration until this month. The parent company has not yet released the affected lot codes or expiration dates, but said there are 221 cases (each containing 12 15-ounce bottles), sold at retailers in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana. , Oklahoma and Texas.
